Descent or ascent canoe through the Villaviciosa estuary

And, depending on the tide that follows the course of the Villaviciosa estuary, we will make an ascent or descent with our canoes departing from the Puerto Deportivo de The Prop.

The Villaviciosa estuary is a real attraction for lovers of outdoor sports and active tourism, and not only in the Principality of Asturias. . Its mouth into the Cantabrian Sea makes its flow unique for both the descent and the ascent paddling with the canoes, so not only will it be quite an adventure but you will enjoy a spectacular place.

Thus, taking advantage of these characteristic tides of "our" estuary, we propose a unique canoe ascent/descent in sections that, depending on the currents, can reach up to 8-9 knots. of speed.

But the best of all is that since it is a journey in which you will be guided by one of our sports technicians, it does not require extra physical effort and almost anyone can try this adventure in the Villaviciosa estuary. Of course, if you know that you are a "super-man", we encourage you to suddenly ascend and descend the estuary. We are not responsible for your shoelaces!

We will depart from the Villaviciosa Marina, El Puntal, where we have our fleet of boats and where we will begin with a brief briefing in which we will give you some tips to row without difficulty, in addition to telling you about the journey to be made aboard the canoes.

Depending on the alternative you are going to choose, we will tell you what time of day is most favorable to do the canoeing route. In total, approximately 7 km of distance that will take you around an hour and a half, two and a half hours of time depending on your paddling mark and of course, the strength of the tide on the chosen day.
