Barranco del Pedroso Initiation Level in Pedroso

We have ready all the necessary ingredients for a day of adventure in Rioja's lands, you only have to enter the route on your GPS and come visit us, as we will put the guides and the necessary materials so that during 4 hours, you will make the most of a canyoning route through the Pedroso ravine, in its homonymous town.

We will enter the trails of this initiation ravine and from the beginning nature will give us what we have been looking for: strong emotions. We will advance between beautiful pools and the occasional jump to enjoy. We will also find slopes for which we will have to climb but that do not exceed 3 meters.

Having traveled a stage of it for about 45 minutes, we will see how the ravine widens as we will pass under a bridge near the Hermitage of Santa Teodosia until we soon meet our first challenge canyoning, a 6-meter rappel descent. After lowering it, another drop of about 3 meters will wait for us with open arms and that when descending it, it will reward us with another even more adrenaline-pumping rappel of 12 meters high.

We will continue our canyoning expedition immersed in a large forest, which we will have reached after descending a 4 to 5 meter ledge and that will lead us to another 6 meters. As you can see, here the adventure is in every corner, although with the right conditions to start progressively with large doses of adrenaline and with challenges that do not exceed us but motivate us to continue.

What will come next, will be a section of 1 and a half hours in which we will go jumping from pool to pool and sliding down zigzagging natural slides in an environment with many narrow areas. In a short time we will find a path that crosses the river and that we will cross to delight our senses with a 6 meter waterfall that we can jump from or rappel down, whatever you feel like. We will continue our course under a small bridge only to run into another waterfall again and descend it by doing abseiling and finally descending into a natural pool.

Our canyoning route through the Pedroso ravine will culminate in the best way. Continuing through the pool where we will haave “landed”, we will reach another jump that is incredible to descend by rappelling and that when we do it, we will continue through an area full of natural pools that we will overcome by swimming this suddenly see that we have already overcome this ravine.
