At Enoaventura we work under a transversal idea of the best leisure options in Rioja Alvesa. Aware that this land is synonymous with good wines and magnificent natural spaces, we think that nothing better than combining under the same group of professionals the possibility that you can discover the wines of this Denomination of Origin while learning outdoor sports. The proposals with which we will open your senses can be based on one or more of these modalities:
- Wine tourism and oleotourism : knowing the elaboration of each product in a meticulous way, beginning with its cultivation and harvesting to finish in the tasting of the final product to value it in all its essence.
- Hiking : we will go on foot through places of minimal or medium difficulty. We will travel through itineraries where we will find Laguardia, León Dormido or Virgen de la Rosa, among others.
- Cycle tourism : the passion for mountain biking increases with the vision of places such as the Greenway of the Oja river.
- Birding : the animals respond here to the call of a home abundant in vegetation and thanks to this we can dedicate ourselves to bird watching, something that we can do on foot or by bicycle.
- Kayak : we will paddle in the Ebro river along the Puente or la Póveda promenades, with a minimum time of 90 minutes.
- Extreme adventure : climbing on ridges and ridges that are a meeting point for fans of rock walls, descent of the Bocino or Istora ravines, or visits to the Basaura or Akuandi caves.
Enoaventura
Calle San Roque, 14 Moreda
In the surroundings of the Rioja Alavesa region, there are a dozen ravines that in Enoaventura we have tested and analyzed so that now you can descend them in our company.
Usually, these routes through the riverbed, consequently have water throughout the adventure. We will wear a neoprene so that the water temperature is bearable. With this, in addition to a helmet and some security measures that are required so that you can go relaxed, we will know the ravines of:
- The Leza Canyon : it is the one we recommend the most for newcomers in this modality. We will leave Soto de Cameros and it will take us 4 hours to finish it.
- Barranco de Pedroso : we continue with an acceptable level of difficulty although it rises a little compared to the previous one. Of the same typology we also find that of Bocino or Foz de Isora, varying the starting points from Pedroso, Brieva de Cameros or San Vicente de Arana.
- Artazul and Licebar : in both we prefer that you are used to moving between the usual challenges that cannons present us because they are classified for a level of improvement. Both are reached from Nacedero de Arteta.
Canyoning is done in groups. Normally we recommend the 6 participants to start, always all in charge of the guide who will indicate how to take each step.
At Enoaventura we have the firm conviction that Rioja Alavesa, as everyone's cultural heritage, has to be disseminated as it deserves. For this reason, our conception of wine tourism goes through a deep respect for the production of these wines that must be understood as a whole. This implies knowing the grape from the moment the vine is planted until it reaches the table under the most recognized labels among experts.
We present you participatory experiences and walks through the vineyards, wineries and tasting spaces. We will do it actively, you can even step on the grape, so that from now on you can simply drink the wine to see beyond the glass. Some ideas that you can ask us are:
- We will start the experience with an introduction, seeing the landscape of the vineyards of the banks of the Ebro, from the Balcony of the excavated hundreds of years ago, for winemaking and we will learn all the secrets of the traditional process and its evolution. We can complement the experience with tastings and appetizers of foods that are also indigenous.
- Days in which the involvement of visitors is prioritized. We will go at the foot of the vineyard, to know its peculiarities in situ and participate in the viticulture work, learning about the vine in the field itself. We will have lunch respecting the open-air country style. You will take home a personalized bottle of wine as a gift.
