Canyoning in Paterna del Río for initiation

We can find different sort of canyoning routes with different levels, but in this case we will cover Paterna del Rio canyon, placed in Alpujarra almeriense very close to Laujar de Andarax. This area is rich in iron, so that the water is brown in some areas.

Our route lenghts 1200 metres along the riverbed, where we can find cascades from 5 metres to 5 metres high. At the end of this canyoning route, we will start a brief via ferrata, so you can see the river from the heights too.
