Paiva River Trekking, Arouca 3h

Welcome to the Río Paiva, located in the Arouca Geopark, just over an hour drive by car from Porto or from Aveiro, a meeting place for all lovers of nature in its purest form.

A spectacular landscape that demands to know it in a different way. Gone are the simple walks or the usual hiking trails without some action along the way. We propose an original activity that allows us to delve deeper into the singularities of the canyon that runs parallel to the banks of the river.

A fluvial trekking circuit in which we will find an infinite number of natural obstacles to overcome during its 3 hours duration. As if we were walking on a beach but with an idyllic setting and liters and liters of manifest fun.

A kind of SPA in the open that gives us the chance to relax with a bath, with all the benefits that this entails for our body, to fly from the heights with incredible jumps or swimming with the current once immersed in its spectacular rapids.

Here it is about enjoying, balancing the body's energies that bring us both the fresh air of nature and walking on the stones of the river, perfect for blood circulation to flow.

In addition, it is an activity suitable for children with a minimum age of 5 years. In any case, there is a variant of the route with greater difficulty, for an extra amount, ideal for those who have an adequate physical condition, recommended from 16 years old.

Our instructors, with specific qualifications in canyoning, are responsible for ensuring that everything goes perfectly. The security measures we adopt give a good account of this. You will never be alone, you will never progress without the invaluable help of an instructor.

On the day of the adventure you will have to come with a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen and closed-toe shoes to be able to walk by the river; the basic equipment to undertake the tour (wetsuit, life jacket and head helmet) runs at charge of our staff.

The best possible combination: a walk along the path of the river, crawling along the flow of the current or diving into crystalline pools are some of the tests that you will have to overcome.
