Poyatos ravine descent Initiation 3:30 hours

We have everything ready for a unique day of adventure thanks to our canyoning route. On this occasion, we will descend the Poyatos canyon, in the municipality of the same name in Cuenca, and we will have an itinerary of about 3:30 hours that is full of the most exciting challenges of all and that is perfect for anyone who wants to start in this intrepid sport, as it is of initiation level.

You should come with your swimming costume, towel and a change of clothes, for the rest you don't have to worry about anything else, because we will provide you with everything you need to enjoy the descent of the Poyatos canyon at its best. During our 3:30 hours of canyoning, you will be fascinated by the beautiful natural surroundings that this environment shelters and you will discover a new form of fun, because this place has the best places to have a great time, and now you will see how.

To begin with, we will have to make an approach of 1 hour and we will reach the beginning after crossing a nearby track that will lead us directly to the Dehesa stream. When we arrive at the start of the Poyatos ravine, our guides, who will accompany you at all times, will give you a briefing after having equipped us with all the relevant materials. With all your doubts answered and nothing else on your mind, all you have to do is forget about everything and let yourself go, only then will you be able to enjoy canyoning properly.

The Poyatos canyon will welcome us with open arms and in the best possible way, with lots of adventure. The beginning will be seasoned by a short but powerful rush of strong sensations, perfect to start with. We say this because right from the start a 5 metres abseil awaits us, and after overcoming it we will have to take a path to the left in order to be able to continue. This is just the beginning and we have to tell you that a huge succession of descents awaits you, but don't worry, because the difficulty is progressive.

We continue walking immersed in a canyon full of paradisiacal natural pools of fresh, translucent water, and as we go along we will come across large waterfalls from which we can plunge into these pools. It will be like this for a while until we reach the next abseil, this time a little more exciting, as we have to cross a gap of 8 metres in height, which will leave us in a beautiful cliff that is interspersed between another abseil descent that we will have to do, now 6 metres high.

We return to another small canyon and when we pass another pool, we will notice how the Poyatos canyon becomes more and more adrenaline-fuelled, as a 12 metres high abseil awaits us. After that, there will be a succession of two more descents, which will be smaller, 7 and 5 metres, but don't worry, because it will be to prepare us for the end of this epic canyoning route, where we will culminate in the best way, with a final descent of 20 metres high and that will leave us in a pool where we can cool off and take advantage of the last moments to relax and enjoy the nature that will embrace us.
