Canyoning routes through the Aragonese Pyrenees 4hrs

Stretching out at the foot of the Aragonese Pyrenees, in what is known as the Pre-Pyrenees, the Sierra de Guara is a wonderful enclave that hides some of the best places in the whole country to perform canyoning or other extreme sports. One of them is the Barranco de Gorgas Negras, one of the national totem poles, one of the most popular, and one of the most coveted by canyoning enthusiasts.

And why?, you may ask. First of all, it should be noted that this canyon does not require substantial technique, since it is not difficult, but it does require a good physical condition because between the approach to the beginning of the canyon, the descent itself and the return We are talking about 10 hours of travel, which, no matter how you look at it, can be exhausting.

What can we find along the way? Gorgas Negras offers all the attractions of the toughest ravines: to its 5 kilometer route, we must add its irregular morphology, the low temperatures of its waters, its isolation, etc.

What else? It must be said that it is a beautiful descent with an acceptable number of rappels, several of them jumpable. Through a narrow canyon, through which hardly any light filters through, it gradually opens up until it discovers wide badinas or pools of water. Later on, chaos appears, like large stone blocks that hinder the riverbed, more badinas and other elements of nature.

For all these reasons, this is an activity reserved exclusively for over 18s. It is mandatory to have experience in other canyons and, likewise, to have resistance, strength and courage. This does not mean that you can get together with a group of friends who love canyoning and face one of the biggest challenges.

We remind you that for this activity it is advisable to wear waterproof shoes or sports boots, towel, swimsuit, Spare clothes, water and food to replenish energy during the tour. It's ten hours, don't forget.
