Cave of Valporquero caving route

Are you ready to live an experience full of adventure and adrenaline? Enter the world of caving and canyoning and discover the wonders that Cueva de Valporquero hides. You will descend ravines, you will overcome the natural obstacles of the cave such as its waterfalls and siphons and you will end up knowing one of the most beautiful areas of León in an original and adventurous way.

This activity is about getting to know one of the most important caves in Spain , the Cueva de Valporquero which has 3000 meters of galleries and rooms with more than 60 meters high. You will make a route of about 4 hours through the crystalline waters of the underground river of the cave and you will have the opportunity to discover its spectacular stalactites , stalagmites , waterfalls , siphons and natural slides natural .

Upon exiting the cave, you will enter the Barranco de la Folfoguera , located in the Los Argüellos Biosphere reserve. With the help of our experienced monitors , you will rappel down the 2 waterfalls of up to 25 meters found in it and you will immerse yourself in the landscapes of lush vegetation and centenary beech trees that surround the Cueva de Valporquero .

To finish the caving activity , you will cross the Torio River with your companions and monitors on a fun zip line reaching the natural area of Hoces de Vegacervera .

Don't worry, to be able to enjoy this excursion it is not necessary to have previous experience . Our specialized guides and instructors will teach you everything you need to carry out the activity successfully. The only requirement is that you are over 18 years old and have good physical condition . For the rest we take care of ourselves, you just worry about enjoying this adventure.

• Hiking boots or sneakers that can get wet.

• Thermal t-shirt made of lycra or similar (never cotton).

• Swimsuit and towel.

• Change Clothes.
