Caving in Cueva Fresca medium level + photos

If you have already successfully faced speleology, we suggest you enter this underground adventure that takes place in Cueva Fresca, within the cavities of the Alto Asón Cave Network in Cantabria.

Specifically, we will access the Rabelais Hall, one of the largest of these characteristics on the European continent. It is a great space with imposing formations that will rise before us like a 15-meter stalagmite. The average level of this section is due to the physical demands that will be asked of us at certain times. To overcome the Paso de la Araña, for example, we will have to ascend with a rope, help ourselves with a handrail and rappel.

We will arrive at the entrance of Cueva Fresca after half an hour of climbing along a path that crosses a forest of oaks. It is a worthwhile walk in which we will see what this type of typical Cantabrian landscape is like. We will return after the activity through the same place after having spent about half a day in the cavity.

In addition to providing you with the guide for the expedition, we will lend you a jumpsuit that will cover your clothes and gloves that will protect your hands, especially during the techniques for which we will use ropes. We will leave you some wellies for your feet. As a souvenir you will have some complete photographs taken with a professional flash of the interior tour that we will take.
