Description of Route through La Mancha Monumental Castles and Don Quixote
Come and delve into the Mancha del Quijote, starting from Cuenca, the first stop is the famous Monastery of Uclés, the La Mancha dump par excellence, in which we will stop to get to know it for an hour and take the opportunity to make a small appetizer of local products to whet your appetite.
Our next destination is Mota del Cuervo, from where we can observe, standing on one of the balconies, the famous Don Quixote mills and we will learn the traditional way of making flour.
The next stop is lunch. We will do it in an inn where you will eat the dishes that best represent La Mancha culture.
After lunch, we will go to Belmonte, a very important town in the past, as it was the head of the Marquisate of Villena and where the castle that was the residence of Juan Pacheco is located, a place January 1, 2010, when several episodes in the history of Spain took place.
As dusk enters, we will begin our return journey, stopping along the way in Villaescusa to contemplate the wonder hidden inside its Church, the altarpiece of the Chapel of Don Diego Ramírez de Fuenleal.
One of our last views will be the Garcimuñoz Castle, where we will feel the essence of the poet Jorge Manrique.
