Description of Hiking in the Sierra de Sueve
The Sierra del Sueve, given its proximity to the Cantabrian Sea, is the best viewpoint from which to look out over the Asturian coastal plain.
On this beautiful route we suggest you ascend to the most important peak of the Sierra del Sueve, Pico Pienzu, from which we can contemplate the nearby beaches of the Jurassic coast at our feet and the impressive Picos de Europa presiding the Cantabrian Mountains. Between us and these the valley of the Piloña River and the greenery that invades every corner of the Asturian geography.
Once we have recharged our batteries at the summit, we will descend through the sheepfolds where the most emblematic of the Asturian horses lives, the indomitable Asturcón, to immerse ourselves in the luxuriance of the Biescona Beech Forest. , a dream forest, where who knows if any of the many beings of Asturian Mythology will live.
An affordable hiking route in which you will discover a variety of landscapes that are difficult to match in other latitudes. You can't miss it.
