Description of Hiking route to Escafranga Mountain 3h
Discover the magnificent nature of Fuerteventura with the hiking route that we have prepared for you! An incredible way to do active tourism, combining it with sport and from which you can have the best views of the island.
It is a route where you will have the opportunity to see the highest volcano on the island of Fuerteventura: Escanfraga Mountain. It will last approximately 3 hours so put on your mountain clothes and your most comfortable shoes and go on an adventure with us!
First of all our experienced guide will pick you up at your accommodation or meeting point at the set time. From there, you will go with him to the starting point of the route, which will be in the north of the island.
The route will begin at the base of the crater along a simple track known as the "camel route". You will walk along the path that crosses the caldera until you reach a slightly steep section; that will allow you to reach a higher point. You will reach the top, at 533 meters high to enjoy the best panoramic views of the north of Fuerteventura. After taking the best photos, you will return to the starting point.
Throughout the 3-hour route, you will learn from our experienced guide how the volcano was once used to survive thanks to the cultivation of cereals that took place there.
