Route to the Sierra Nevada Lagoons medium level

Take advantage of the good weather to see how the landscape of the mountains of Granada changes with this hiking route that will take us to some of the main lagoons of the Sierra Nevada.

It is an excursion of a medium difficulty level that will make us travel a total of 14 kilometers. Although we address it to all types of people if we advise that children are at least 12 years old and that all participants are used to walking through these types of places.

During the itinerary we will see the lagoons of Aguas Verdes and Río Seco, taking the Veleta as a starting point. From there we will walk around 5 hours overcoming a drop of 240 meters. To reach the peak, we will use the cable car lift located in Pradollano.

We will receive you at 8.30 am at the El Dornajo Visitor Center to start the route at 9 o'clock in the morning. At 11.30 we will take the first break to eat what each one has prepared in his backpack. The arrival to the gondola lift is scheduled at 1:30 p.m. and at 2 p.m. in the town of Pradollano.

It is advisable that each hiker has appropriate shoes for the mountain, protection to remain exposed to the sun during the half-day route, water so that there is no lack of hydration and warm clothes.
