Hoces del Duratón technology summer camp

Technologies advance as fast as bolts of lightning and sometimes adults have a hard time keeping updated. However, kids don't have that problem as they learn and adapt incredibly well. This is why you should make the most of that characteristic and book this summer technological camp at the Natural Park of Las Hoces del río Duratón.

This camp takes place during the last week of July.

We'll divide this camp regarding kids' ages:

• From 8 to 11 years old we'll explore the Star Wars universe with fun tools such as Minecraft and a very simple language called Scratch.
• From 12 years old on we'll learn how to program, robotics and electronics. We'll employ Arduino and Unity 3D to create video games. We'll also make machines from scratch.

Moreover, these groups will spend one hour per day learning to program and flying real drones.

We'll combine the technological part with fun games, activities and open-air sports so kids can enjoy each others company and make new friends in such a lovely environments as the Natural Park of Las Hoces del río Duratón.

We'll stay in a local shelter in San Pedro de Gaíllos, Segovia. We're only 90 minutes away from Madrid. This village is characterized by a church from the 13th century and it has all the services we may need such as hospital and pharmacy.

Our shelter has a maximum space of 60 people with 10 rooms and bunk beds. We include bedding but each participant must bring its towel. Evry room has a bathroom.

We have a big kitchen and we'll make homemade food. We also have a big multi-purpose room and an indoor garden.

On Wednesday we'll visit the Natural Park of Las Hoces del río Duratón after having breakfast. Once we get there we'll see vultures, a local species who lives in this area of Spain. This is the biggest colony of vultures in Europe. We'll also be able to see other kinds of stunning birds. Moreover, we'll get to know San Frutos church and its amazing views, we can assure you that it'll leave them breathless.

Somo of the many sports we'll enjoy are tennis, football, and volleyball. We'll also visit the local nearby swimming pool.

We'll also do:

• Astronomy nights.
• Typical games.
• Treasure chest activities.
• Movie sessions.
