What types of english camps are in Madrid?

- Day Camps: day camps, also known as urbans camps, are suitable for children between 3 and 12 years old, but this can change depending on the centres. The aim is for children to improve their oral and written English, to get used to the English language and to have a great time.

There are camps that are purely immersion camps, i.e. all activities are carried out in English, the language used is English, and there are others that combine immersion with theory classes. In both cases there are games, outdoor activities, excursions or robotics or cooking workshops.

There are camps that combine English with dance, singing, painting, swimming, basketball, tennis or theatre classes.

All the teachers are native or are highly qualified, so perfect English is guaranteed in any of these camps. The schedule of the day camps is usually from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm and can be extended from 7.30 am to 5.00 pm.

- Multi-adventure and English: Summer camps are characterised by including a multitude of multi-adventure activities where children can enjoy nature and new sports. In this case, these activities are combined with daily English classes to improve or reinforce their mastery of the language. The children will be divided for the classes according to their level and for the activities and rooms according to their sex and age.

These camps are aimed at children from 6 to 17 years old. In the morning they receive English classes, normally between 2 and 4 hours, and the rest of the day is spent enjoying a combination of creative and educational workshops and traditional sports with multi-adventure activities such as: hiking, climbing, abseiling, zip-lining, archery, children's and pedal karts, canoeing, paddle surfing, quad bike riding, body surfing, snorkelling, canyoning and going up climbing walls. As per usual, adapting all activities to the age and characteristics of the participants.

The children will be under the supervision of the monitors 24 hours a day, and the ratio of children per monitor is usually between 10 and 15 children. In addition to places like Brunete, Majadahonda, Bustarviejo, Guadarrama or Talamanca del Jarama, you can enjoy a multi-adventure and English camp in Segovia, Alicante, Castellón or Valladolid.

- Multi-adventure and English immersion: These camps are characterised by not having theoretical lessons. The camp is conducted entirely in English, the multi-adventure activities, the workshops, the daily activities such as meals, cleaning, leisure, etc. are also conducted in English so that the children can learn English and strengthen their knowledge of the language. In a dynamic, fun and effective way, they will learn English without even realising it.

All the multi-adventure activities and workshops mentioned above are also carried out in English. Most of the instructors at these camps are native English speakers, and in the exceptional cases where they are not, they have a high level of certified English. The locations where these camps are held are Majadahonda, Cercedilla, Guadarrama, Cáceres or Ávila. With the option of taking these courses abroad from Madrid, you can choose between Portugal, Ireland, England or Canada.
