Canyoning and Via ferrata in Serranía de Cuenca

If you have the opportunity to escape from the routine on the weekend, then we have a plan for you that is undoubtedly far from monotony. An activity where adventure and new experiences reign. We are talking about a descent of the Portillo ravine plus the via ferrata of Priego. An unforgettable weekend that has no comparison.

We will begin our two days of fun enjoying the Portilla ravine, in the Sierra Conquense. During the months of September to March, it is almost completely dry, so we can enjoy it without being cold at all. This ravine has a medium difficulty, so if you already have the route and want to face new challenges to add another ravine to your collection, this is the time. Even so, despite its difficulty, it turns out to be ideal to start rappelling if you have never done it or want to perfect your technique, since here we find a succession of descents that range from 3 at 15 meters high. The best to satisfy our adrenaline and practice to rappel down higher heights in the future.

Our canyoning route can last 6 hours, but if you are so adventurous that that is not enough and you are left wanting more, remember that now comes our second day that will will take your breath away.

We will do the Priego via ferrata. Here we will ascend more than 50 meters to the top of the gorge to contemplate the most privileged views of the entire Sierra Conquense. In addition to the unparalleled sensation of feeling caressed by the mountain breeze at such heights, this ferrata promises us the most adrenaline-filled sensation of all, as we will pass through narrow passes that will test our balance and concentration, We will cross an exciting Tibetan bridge, this consists of crossing the abyss with a cable for our feet and another one a little higher to hold on to with our hands.

In short, we will be overcoming colossal unevenness and voids with a bridge made of 2 ropes. We will also find hanging bridges, these have two cables for the hands and we will walk on spaced steps that will accelerate our pulse at an inexplicable rate as we contemplate the heights at which we are from here.

Finally we will descend along a walkway that takes place along the Escabas River which will give us a picturesque and quiet landscape perfect to culminate a day full of strong experiences. The only thing you will need for this weekend will be a desire to have a good time and clothes to change, because for the rest, we will take care of: necessary materials,required insurance and guides for the activity.
