Canyoning and Via ferrata in Serranía de Cuenca

If you have the opportunity to escape from your everyday routine on the weekend, then we have a plan for you that is undoubtedly quite far from monotony. An activity where adventure and new experiences reign. We are talking about a descent of the Portillo ravine plus the Priego via ferrata. An unforgettable weekend that won't compare to any other.

We will begin our two days of fun enjoying the Portilla ravine, in the Sierra Conquense. During the months of September to March, it is almost completely dry, so we can enjoy without getting cold. This ravine is of medium difficulty, so if you already have a route and want to face new challenges to add another ravine to your collection, this is the time. Even so, despite its difficulty, it turns out to be ideal to start the rappel descent if you have never done it or want to improve your technique, since here we find a succession of descents that go from 3 15 meters high. The best to satisfy our adrenaline and practice to rappel higher heights in the future.

Our canyoning route can last 6 hours, but if you are so adventurous that that is not enough and you want more, remember that now comes our second day that you will take your breath away.

We will do the Priego via ferrata. Here we will ascend more than 50 meters to the top of the ravine to contemplate the most privileged views of the entire Sierra Conquense. In addition to the unbeatable feeling of being caressed by the mountain breeze at such heights, this ferrata promises us the most adrenaline-pumping sensation of all, as we will pass through narrow passages that will put our balance and concentration to test. We will cross an exciting Tibetan bridge, this consists of crossing an abyss with a cable on our feet and another a little higher to hold us with our hands.

In short, we will be overcoming colossal slopes and gaps with a bridge made of 2 strings. We will also find hanging bridges, these have two cables for the hands and we will walk on spaced steps that will accelerate our pulse at an inexplicable rate as we contemplate the heights at which we are from here.

Finally we will descend by a footbridge that takes place along the Escabas River that will give us a picturesque and peaceful landscape perfect to end a day full of strong experiences. The only thing you will need for this weekend will be the desire to have fun and clothes to change, because otherwise, we take care of: necessary materials, required insurance and guides for the activity.
