Description of Route to the San Francisco Refuge in Sierra Nevada
Travel the Caifas route from the El Dornajo Visitor Center to the old San Francisco shelter, passing through the Peña del Perro, in Granada.
The route is of medium-low difficulty, with an approximate distance of 14 kilometers. On the tour, with our guides we will learn about the flora, fauna, passages and history that surround this route, in addition to enjoying the wonderful views of the Sierra Nevada.
We have two degrees of difficulty and distance to make it accessible to all audiences, although it requires minimal physical preparation. It is recommended that attendees come with water, food, mountain clothing and footwear, sweatshirt, cap, sun protection and mountain stick. In total, it is estimated that the route can take up to five hours.
