Rafting Almadenes Canyon, Two Caves and Photos

The Almádenes canyon is considered to be a unique natural space in the province of Murcia. We propose to you a rafting descent across the river Segura during which you will not only enjoy the adrenaline of going on board of a raft while you row, but you will also enjoy the cultural side of this trip of 3 hours and a half. 

Aimed at people of all ages and skills, this descent will take you to visit the cave of Cueva de los Monigotes and, after that, that of Cueva de las Nutrias. The interpreting guides who accompany on this ride will share with you on all the knowledge about this place and what you can find there, such as the different species of fauna that inhabit in it: otters, eagles, the grey heron, and the woodpecker. 

But not everything about this activity will consist in observing the landscape. We will also make a stop at Cueva de los Monigotes. Inside of it, you will find many cave paintings that are from more than 8,000 years ago... Interesting, right? This is why it has been declared a UNESCO protected World Heritage Site. 

Another visit we will not miss is entering to Cueva de las Nutrias. Here live a couple of examples from this species that, if we are lucky, we might get to see. A true privilege. After this stop, we will continue with the descent until we arrive to La Mulata dam.
