Daytime navigation license Puerto Garrucha 4 hours

Sea lovers, you can now acquire your navigation license to ride jet skis of any cylinder capacity, as well as boats of up to 6 metres in length. It will be as easy as passing our 4-hour course, which we teach at the Garrucha Marina yacht harbour, for which you do not have to pass any type of exam.

An express course that consists of a theoretical section of 2 hour from which you will learn the terminology associated with the nautical world, you will distinguish those coasts in which sailing is allowed, you will study the maritime circulation rules and you will familiarise yourself with the docking and casting off techniques, as well as how to adapt your navigation to the wind and swell. 

After, we will take action, and for 4 hours we will go around Puerto Garrucha to put into practice what we have learned and more knowledge in one of our motor boats:

• Prior checks of the state of the sea before sailing.
• Engine operation.
• Realization of basic knots and control of ropes, also known as knot tying.
• Docking and casting off at the harbour.
• Safety regulations for when someone falls into the water.

You have to keep in mind that in order to navigate, apart from the certificate that you are going to obtain after completing the course, you will also need the degree of medical and psych-technical recognition that you have to obtain on your own at a specialized centre, for nautical purposes. 

* Children under 16 can also complete this training, provided they bring a  signed authorization of an adult.
