Vallter snowshoe progression course 2 days

Snow can become inhospitable terrain if you do not have the necessary knowledge to know how to navigate through it. For this reason, we bring you our snowshoe progression course and identification and discovery of avalanche victims. For 2 days, at the Vallter ski resort (Girona) you will learn the fundamental techniques to survive in the snowy mountain in case you produce difficulties.

We have established different meeting points in Barcelona and surrounding areas to start at Vallter station around 10:00. We will start with a snowshoe route to learn such relevant aspects as knowing the terrain, knowing the best way to progress on it, orientation issues, internalizing the DVA protocol (Avalanche Victim Detector), etc.

Between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., we will arrive at our accommodation in a shelter in the area. It will be the perfect moment to relax and enjoy free time until dinner time.

The next morning, it's time to get up early. Around 9, we launch our workshop on rescue and detection of avalanche victims. It will help us to know the DVA protocol and learn how to use the necessary tools to implement it.

During the second day, we will give you breakfast and lunch. Our training will last until 5:00 p.m. And from this moment, we will take our respective vehicles to return to the initial meeting points.
