Winter ascent to Veleta and photos 6 hours

It is impossible to think of Sierra Nevada without its most representative coming to mind: the Veleta. If you like the mountains, it is almost obligatory that you come to make this expedition.

Access to the route is simple, as it can be accessed by car at 2,500 meters. But that does not mean that what comes next is not demanding. You will have to come well-equipped and prepared to walk through iced areas, snowdrifts, snowmobiles and in general, in high mountain conditions!

Depending on the pace of the group, the session may be extended for the a part-time or even full-time duration.

Before starting the session, we will do practices of self-braking with the help of the ice ax as well as with the crampons. If the use of snowshoes were required, we would also give an introductory session.

When we reach the top we will enjoy the best views of the Sierra Nevada. On clear days you can see the sea and even the Africa's coast, in optimal conditions.

The route is about 14 kilometers, with 900 metres of unevenness. The difficulty level will be easy - medium.

You must come equipped with clothing and mountain progression material, sun protection and food and water.

We will make a photo report of the ascent.
