During winter, the majestic Sierra da Estrela in Portugal turns white, offering spectacular snowy landscapes.

When the snowy season arrives at the Sierra de Estrela Natural Park, it is time to get out the snowshoes and start redoing the routes through the mountains in a different way, on a white blanket that allows us know the depths of the Natural Park, obtaining another point of view of it.

We will start walking from the highest point not only in the mountains, but in all of continental Portugal, a privileged location located in Castelo Branco, near the town of Unhais da Saw. For 2 hours we will start the march in which the snowshoes will allow us to overcome any terrain, no matter how unstable the snow has made it.

Wrap up warm and come to discover the most beautiful places in the Sierra de Estrela where sport and nature come together under a white blanket to offer you a new adventure that you will undoubtedly want to repeat.

*It is essential to add a group of 4 people to carry out the route with snowshoes.
