Sierra Nevada family snowshoeing route 2 h

Set out on a beautiful and unique adventure with the whole family through Sierra Nevada with a family snowshoe route through the San Juan Valley that will take approximately 2 hours to complete and that will give everyone great moments of fun. You will discover the hidden side of this emblematic mountain range and you will know its landscapes from the inside, something that few can tell, because it is not the same to know Sierra Nevada from its ski resort, than to explore it 

Come with the whole family because it is a rewarding experience that would be a shame to share it without your loved ones. An activity that will surprise you by the heights that we will reach and the impressive views that we will have, while a surrounding silence embraces us and we only listen to the snow sink with each step we make.

We will be in the surroundings of the Sierra Nevada ski resort, and we will start our snowshoe route from the Hoya de La Mora recreational area. We will climb the crest of the Guachiles hill, and from here, we will be able to see the San Juan ravine in a unique way, in addition, we will have views of the Pico de Veleta, the fourth highest peak in Spain.

At our pace and comfortably with the snowshoes, we will have the possibility to visit dream places, which will give us an unforgettable view of Sierra Nevada. For example, we will pass by the Mohón del Trigo Observatory, at a height that reaches 2,600 meters, as well as, we will see the altar of the Virgen de las Nieves, which It is located at an altitude of 2,700 meters, next to the Águila ski slope.

While we enjoy the snow and the landscapes that we can contemplate from Sierra Nevada with laughter, we will feel that we levitate with snowshoes. An exciting activity for which you will only have to come warm with winter clothing (jackets, thermal shirts, etc), sunglasses and well-equipped with sun protection, because we will provide you with the mountain guide, snowshoes and poles.
