Sierra Nevada family snowshoe route 2 hours

Embark on a beautiful and unique adventure with the whole family through Sierra Nevada with a family snowshoe route through the San Juan Valley that will take approximately 2 hours to complete and it will give everyone great moments of fun. You will discover the hidden side of this emblematic mountain range and you will get to know its landscapes from the inside, something that few can tell, since knowing Sierra Nevada from its ski resort is not the same as knowing it immersed in its nooks.
Come with the whole family because it is a rewarding experience that would be a shame to share without your family. An activity that will surprise you with the heights we will reach and the impressive views we will have, while an enveloping silence embraces us and we only hear the snow sinking with each footprint.

We will be in the surroundings of the Sierra Nevada ski resort, and we will begin our snowshoe route from the recreational area of Hoya de La Mora. We will climb the crest of the Loma de Guachiles, and from here, we will be able to see the San Juan ravine in a unique way, in addition, we will have views of the Pico de Veleta, the fourth highest peak in Spain.

At our pace and comfortably with the snowshoes, we will have the possibility of visiting dream places, which will give us an indelible memory of the Sierra Nevada. For example, we will pass by the Mohon del Trigo Observatory, at an altitude that reaches 2600 meters, as well as, we will see the altar of the Virgen de las Nieves, which It is located at 2700 meters above sea level, next to the Águila ski slope.

While we laugh and enjoy the snow and the landscapes that we can see from the Sierra Nevada, we will feel like we are levitating with the snowshoes. An exciting activity for which you will only have to come warm with winter clothing (jackets, thermal t-shirts, etc.), sunglasses and well supplied with sun cream, because we will take care of the mountain guide, snowshoes and poles.
