Snowshoe initiation route Estany Llong

Thinking of a snowshoe route? Sign up for our 6-hour initiation trek, which will take place in the surroundings of the Aigües Tortes and Estany de Sant Maurici National Park.

On this 12 km route you will pass through a snowy black pine forest and walk through the vast white plains of Alta Ribagorza.

The ascent up the mountain is simple, it is done gradually, so it will not require much from you on a technical level. The route will take you to see Prats d’Aiguadassi and, thus, finally reach the Estany Llong, which is located at the foot of Portarró d’Espot.

The itinerary will start from the Vall de Boí. For this reason, you will also see up close the Romanesque churches in this area declared a World Heritage Site. In addition, we will stop at the Sant Esperit viewpoint. From this point you will see spectacular views of the valley of Sant Nicolau.

Another of the points through which we will pass will be the interior of a forest that will take us to Pi de Peixerani.

As it is a winter activity and in the snow, you will have to come equipped with warm and comfortable clothing. Also, it is necessary that you come with hiking boots, food, water and sun protection.

*The ascent to Planell de Sant Esperit and the return to Boí will be done by 4x4 taxi. (This service is not included in the price)
