Route Siete Picos with snowshoes children 4h

Take advantage of the snowy landscape of the winter season to continue doing family activities. Your children will love to travel the mountain of Madrid with the technique of snowshoes that we propose from here. A simple way for them to ascend the Navacerrada port and enjoy the beautiful corners that make up the Sierra de Guadarrana. Throughout the four hours the children will have fun and take advantage of the many benefits that the mountain offers.

The activity will begin at 8:00 am in the restaurant Venta Arias. The reason to get you up early is none other than to take good advantage of the daylight hours and to avoid spending too cold during the route. Before starting the progression to the mountains, an experienced guide will show you how to put on your rackets and how to walk with them. These techniques are very easy and do not require previous experience, so the little ones will quickly catch them.

Once the whole group is prepared, we will ascend through the Siete Picos massif (also known as Somosanto peak), through the Alto del Telégrafo hill and through the Smith way, singular for its moderate slopes, ideal for the physical form of minors. During this tour we will have the privilege of stepping on virgin land with freshly deposited snow on the ground. In addition, upon reaching the valley of Valsaín , we will enjoy the image of its white or frost-filled pine forests in a most evocative space.

The route we have prepared has a route of seven to ten kilometers , approximately. And the slope is very low, about three hundred meters, so that children do not suffer and can remember this day as fun and special. Anyway, our guide will remain attentive at all times to make the necessary breaks and bring an appropriate rhythm to the group's profile.

The tour will end at lunchtime, around 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., at which time we will say goodbye and encourage you to go to one of the many restaurants in the area to give you the last tribute of the day.
