Urban technological campus Amphibious Vehicle and Apps

Children between 9 and 12 years old are in luck because they will be able to enhance their creativity skills with this magnificent urban technological camp.

What we are going to do is build an authentic amphibious vehicle, with all its components, and best of all: we will create an app to be able to manage it from your phone or tablet using the bluetooth connection.

To build the amphibious vehicle we are going to use the Arduino board, and different materials (some recycled) such as large wheels, porex blades, elements made with a 3-D printer, etc. We will do a procedure to waterproof it so that it can move through the water without problems.

That's about the "body", but then we will have to "give it life". To do this, we will learn to configure the electronic part of the Arduino: the wiring, the Bluetooth, the batteries... And thanks to the MIT program, "App Inventor", we will be able to create our own application to control the vehicle at a distance.

Imagine the feeling of the children seeing their creation in motion, thanks to their own work! It is something indescribable and will foster in them creative ability and interest in the most cutting-edge technologies.

We have three different locations to do this camp:

• San Pablo CEU University, in Boadilla del Monte (July 3 to 7).
• Microforum, in the Cuatro Caminos area, in Madrid (July 24 to 28).
• Amanecer School, in Alcorcón (from June 26 to 30 and from July 17 to 21).
