Creation of Robot Car in Durango 5 Days 9-12 Years

The next logical step after having built the multirobot with 5 different functionalities is to undertake the construction of a robot with autonomy, which moves by means of special wheels strong> called Meccanum. Remember that we are in the municipality of Durango, half an hour by car to the southeast of Bilbao.

There, at Ibaizabal Ikastola, at 54 Intxaurrondo street, we offer a technological workshop to the little ones that will be held from July 3 to 7 or from July 17 to 21, the user is free to choose the dates that best suit their vacations and those of the smallest members of the household.

The classes are given for five successive days, from Monday to Friday, from early morning to >9:00 a.m. until lunchtime at 2:00 p.m.. In it children, between 9 and 12 years old, will learn notions of robotics and programming superior to those explained in other workshops for younger ages.

Our mission will be to build a robot made up of 146 blocks of pieces, 4 motors and 4 omnidirectional wheels. For this they will have computers, with the instruction of a group of highly qualified teachers and with the availability of the most modern materials, among them the special wheels we talked about before, which allow our robot to go in a diagonal direction and rotate about itself itself 360 degrees.

To manage the robot, we will first have to learn to program with a Micro:bit board which, together with the MakeCode program, are in charge of managing the operation of its 4 engines. Likewise, apart from the basic components of the robot, in our workshop we are going to add a HuskyLens camera that enables the detection of colors, objects and shapes.

This represents a significant advance compared to the competition's program, since we are talking about an intelligent device that considerably improves the abilities and skills of our creation. On the other hand, the inclusion of this mechanism helps our students to know the latest improvements and integrate them into the automation processes.
