Archidiócesis de Toledo

The presence of Christianity in Toledo dates back to the beginning of the 4th century, from that moment on the expansion of the religion was in line with Romanization.

And it is in the capital of Castilla-La Mancha where our Archidiocese of Toledo is located.

We are an ecclesiastical circumscription of the Catholic Church in Spain belonging to one of the 14 ecclesiastical provinces of Spain, the ecclesiastical province of Toledo.

We have jurisdiction over the Catholic faithful of the Latin rite who reside in the city and in a large part of the municipalities of this province and municipalities that belong to Cáceres and Badajoz.

The headquarters of the archdiocese offers us architectural wealth, full of temples and sanctuaries, some of them declared national monuments and World Heritage Sites.
