Arteguias is a guided tour company that promotes historical and cultural tourism in various parts of Spain. In the city of Soria we have an excursion that lasts one day, where you visit the main locations knowing all their details. Furthermore, since you will be accompanied by a qualified guide you will not only know the superficial history of each place, but also the legends that still surround its ruins and the most curious anecdotes.

The city of Soria is made up of a Romanesque artistic group formed under influences from both Burgos and Navarre, with light touches of French Romanesque. Thanks to this, the stylistic character of our land has a special touch of great variety. Specifically, on this trip we are going to focus on the most important religious constructions, checking the passage of time in each of them as well as the stylistic evolution.

We will start with the Church of Santo Domingo. Known for the beauty of its façade, its interior houses the best French Romanesque, having its origin in the influence exerted by Queen Eleanor of Plantagenet. We will continue the visit toSan Juan de Rabanera, a post-Romanesque temple that has multiple details, being a true luxury for sculpture lovers. Its head is the prelude to the wealth that awaits us inside.

The Church of San Juan de Duero is, possibly, the most relevant place of this visit. We will be able to access its cloister, still standing, and made up of wonderful arches of oriental influence. As you walk through its buildings, you will feel the peace that emanates from the earth and you will be able to delight in the multiple forms that its architecture presents. Inside, the sensation will increase when you contemplate all the stylistic resources used. There are many opinions about the true reason for using these techniques, now we can debate it surrounded by an impressive environment.,

At the end of the excursion, we will arrive at theChurch of San Nicolás. Currently only the ruins remain, although the entire apse can be seen. It is said that it is one of the most harmonious, thanks to the measurements it keeps. We can also see some murals about the murder of Saint Thomas. The culmination of the visit comes with the St. Peter's Co-Cathedral and its Cloister. Inside, a series of capitals influenced by Silos awaits us.

All our visits depart from Madrid, on Avenida de América. The duration of the excursion is a full day, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., where we return to the same starting point.
