Get to know another of Antoni Gaudí's most incredible constructions, El Capricho de Gaudí. Located in Cantabria, it is one of the three works of the architect that are outside Barcelona, it was built in just 2 years, from 1883 to 1885, being declared A Site of Cultural Interest in 1969.
Originally as Villa Quijano, Gaudí built 3 floors and a beautiful cylindrical tower that stands out above the entire construction. The entire construction is decorated with ceramics with floral and musical motifs. Both inside and outside you will have the opportunity to treat yourself to these motifs.
You can discover them from the ceramics that cover the entire exterior of the façade such as the window handles, the forging of the balconies or the stained glass windows in which a bee playing the guitar and a blackbird playing are represented. the piano.
But this is not all. Outside the complex you can enjoy its large garden, also full of floral and musical motifs. In addition, you can enter the grot that Gaudí built as a tribute to the caves of Altamira. You can also see the beautiful façade made of stone and brick.
Also, as a curiosity, all parts of the house are built in a way that they could take advantage of most of the sunlight. All of them except the meeting room and the reception, both to take advantage of the sunset and the nights.
