When two artists arrive in Mallorca and fall in love with the island, the result could not be other than a museum. The Sa Bassa Blanca Museum was born from the marriage between Yannick Vu and Ben Jakober, a mix of art, nature and architecture.
Come and see all the art housed in this Spanish-Moorish style building designed by the Egyptian architect Hassan Fathy. Its Nins and Sókrates exhibition halls stand out, of which the latter houses portraits of children from the 16th to the 19th century; and the second, works by Miquel Barceló, Francis Bacon or James Turrell, among others.
With the aim of promoting art and culture, Vu and Jakober created this space in harmony with the nature that surrounds them, thus preaching great respect for the environment.
You will not stop admiring this great building with white walls, vaults and domes. Walking through the gardens, contemplating Jakober's sculptures, is an experience that will allow you to admire art in all its forms.
In conclusion, this museum is an ode to art in itself, which makes it a mandatory stop on your way through Mallorca.
