Apart from being able to enjoy the tranquility and environment of the area and its towns, Labaniego and Arlanza are perfect starting points to get to know El Bierzo. Its proximity to the A-6 highway (only 6 km) helps us carry out a whole series of activities that are offered to us in the surroundings.
We have a good number of museums to visit such as the Ethnographic Museum of Bierzo Alto (Bembibre), the Bierzo Museum (Ponferrada) or the Ethnographic Museum of Noceda del Bierzo.
Places of great heritage interest such as "Las Médulas" 40 km away (World Heritage Site), Cariacedo Monastery, S. Miguel de las Dueñas Monastery, Camino de Santiago (El Acebo, Molinaseca, Villafranca del Bierzo, O Cebreiro) , Peñalba de Santiago (historical-artistic complex), Colinas de Santiago (historical-artistic complex), Herrería de Compludo (Roman forge), Castle of the Templars (Ponferrada), Rural architecture in Ancares (pallozas, granaries, etc.). Sports activities such as horseback riding, paragliding in the Gistredo mountain range.
A good number of hiking routes in the area such as the sources of Noceda and Sierra de Gistredo, Poza de las Hoyas, Matavenero and Poibueno, ascent to Catoute peak (ceiling of Bierzo, 2117 meters).
Finally, highlight the excellence of local gastronomy with renowned dishes such as botillo, wines with designation of origin, roasted peppers, the popular magostos that are celebrated in the fall, etc.
