Ecotourism
Ecological tourism is an approach to tourist activities that prioritizes the preservation and appreciation of the environment (both natural and cultural) that welcomes travelers. Due to its rapid growth, it is also seen as a subsector of tourism activity.
The ecotourism label implies an environmentally responsible trip, to little disturbed regions to enjoy the natural environment and the culture of the inhabitants of such environment, to promote both the appreciation of the natural and cultural riches of the places to visit, as well as to give conservation tangible monetary value, which serves as an argument to convince both visitors and local people of the importance of conserving its resources.
