Bike Point El Médano

Bike Point El Médano is a center dedicated to everything related to Cycling, located in the south of Tenerife.

We organize bicycle excursions, through various routes:

• Black Mountains: it is an intermediate level. A spectacular circuit, which begins in the shadow of Mount Teide. We will pass by the site of the last eruption, a hundred years ago. Afterwards we will go to the Black Sands, a protected recreational area, with beautiful landscapes of great contrast. Afterwards we will enter the forest, and we will arrive at the town of Santiago del Teide, where, after having a drink, we will get on the bus that will take us back to El Médano.

• Vilaflor: easy-intermediate level. We start in the highest town in Spain, with an altitude of 1,400 meters. We will walk part of it on asphalt, and then continue along a path that will lead us to the “Mother of Water” fountain. We will continue ascending through the forest, until we reach 1,700 meters, next to the entrance to the Cañadas del Teide National Park. Then we will begin the descent to Vilaflor, where we will have a drink and finish the tour.

• Esperanza Tour: intermediate-hard level. It will take place in the Esperanza area, one of the most beautiful on the island. The first part of the excursion will pass through the northern area of Tenerife, the area with the most vegetation. Afterwards, we will reach another area, with drier vegetation (especially eucalyptus trees), which will contrast with what was observed in the first part. Finally, we will begin the way back to the starting point, where after a refreshment, we will finish the route.
