At Covaleda Aventura we have the advantage of working in the pine forest recognized as the largest on the European continent. In this context we develop activities whose link is a natural environment in a very good state of conservation. Among them are:
- Day and night routes along the itineraries of most interest with a starting point from Covaleda or nearby, such as the route of the rock tombs, Both Cuerdas or the Pinos Colosos.
- Specific disciplines for winter, when we continue touring these landscapes but we take the opportunity to put on our snowshoes. At the right time we also teach you how to build a bivouac.
- Mycological routes in which we will learn to identify which mushrooms are edible and which species pose some type of danger to health.
- Picnic outings in which we will stop halfway to share food and anecdotes.
In addition, we will not just follow the path, we will help you know how to orient yourself in the forest and the correct way to use a GPS device in nature.
At Covaleda Aventura we know perfectly well all the routes and paths of natural interest available in the province of Soria and its surroundings, an activity that in winter we can continue doing with the help of snowshoes (especially among the months of December and March).
When the earth is completely covered by the continuous snowfall of the coldest seasons, the white blanket prevents normal walking access since our feet sink. Carrying snowshoes as part of our equipment will allow us to gain surface area and continue moving forward.
Among the routes that can be followed with this material is the Colossus Pine Route, characterized by the presence of centuries-old trees that have reached gigantic dimensions throughout their evolution.
Joining any route of these characteristics is possible without taking into account the age of the participant or his physical condition since we decide on itineraries that in most cases are of low difficulty.
At Covaleda Aventura we are professionals who know the details of the terrain to move with ease through the province of Soria and its areas of influence. This does not allow us to meet the requirements of any person since in each itinerary it is possible to choose both its difficulty, its length and the type of landscapes that those who accompany us prefer to contemplate during their journey.
Some of the routes we recommend are:
- The Caves of Uncle Melitón: we will need an average physical condition to complete its more than 14 kilometers, which we have calculated can be done in around 3 and a half hours. It is a path between pine trees that starts south from Covaleda, with special attention to the Piedra Andadera.
- Waterfall Route: it reaches almost 16 kilometers in total, so it will also require a minimum of resistance. We will go east which will leave us at the Peñoncito waterfall, a place where nature has achieved a dream image.
- Route of the Laguna Negra and the Glacier Circuses of Urbión: with a complexity that begins to be high in some of its points, it has the uniqueness that is one of the exclusive routes that gain by doing them of evening.
