Whoever thinks that Extremadura water sports are not the order of the day, is wrong. In fact, in the north of Cáceres we have the magnificent Gabriel y Galán Reservoir , and in the Granadilla Nautical School we take advantage of this privileged enclave to promote the practice of sailing like windsurf .
Those of you who are knowledgeable in the field will surely have noticed that we have made the wind of Guijo de Granadilla our best ally, since both windsurfing and sailing are strong allies of this natural element.
Our group of monitors adapt to both the level and the age of the students without any problem, since in our school we teach courses both for beginners as to perfect the technique of those who have already tried their luck with this type of sports.
For the little ones, we have our children's sailing section , aimed at sailors between 7 and 17 years old who want to learn to navigate the waters independently. With the ultimate goal of becoming future race participants.
We also have our Vaurien Sailing Course , this time for adults. The dynamics would be similar: our monitor would give the theoretical and practical notions to become authentic sailors.
And focusing on windsurfing, we present our course of 12 hours with which you will learn not only to maintain balance on the board but also to navigate and make turns of all kinds . At the end of the course you will be able to return to our operations center by yourself.
At Escuela Náutica Granadilla we have proposed to add followers to water sports . And more specifically to the exciting world of sailing . For this reason, we make our fleet of sailboats of various sizes available to anyone who wants to start the adventure of becoming a sailor, regardless of age.
Our instructions will be carried out in the north of Cáceres, specifically in the impressive Gabriel y Galán Reservoir , located in the Guijo de Granadilla district, where the wind will be our best comrade.
For young adventurers between 7 and 14 years old, we have our introductory sailing course for children . The training is carried out from a fishing training boat, with capacity for 6 students and a instructor . Both at a theoretical and practical level you will know the concepts, modes of navigation and safety regulations that every nobel sailing should know.
For the more advanced we will turn to our Optimist sailboat. With a weight of 35 kg and a length of 2.30 cm. With this boat they will be awakened by the bug for participating in regattas .
Do you want to be carried away by the wind while riding on a board? Then your wishes have the name of water sport . You are looking to windsurf . And from Escuela Náutica Granadilla we want you to materialize your wishes thanks to our courses of 12 hours , divided into 2 sessions of 6 hours < / u> each. We will develop this course in the Gabriel y Galán Reservoir , located in the north of Cáceres .
In this area you will find the ideal tools to start this adventure, where the most difficult thing for beginners will be to maintain balance on the board . Once you have overcome this obstacle, you will be able to turn and jibe like a professional windsurfer.

And it is that our training has a theoretical section that will be completed with information about the equipment and its operation, the basic turns on the table and the safety regulations.
Our second part will take place in the waters of one of the reservoirs of Caceres where most lovers of water sports gather. The groups will be 6 windsurfers for each monitor, who will make a personalized follow-up of your progress. And the material to put into practice everything learned is our thing: the sail, the board and the life jacket, as well as a support rescue boat.
After completing both sessions, the objective is that you have acquired the ability to dominate the Caceres wind until you return on your own to our facilities. It will be the litmus test for your transformation into an expert windsurfer.
This course is designed for anyone who is curious about the world of windsurfing and who swims with some ease. Of course, you must be at least 10 years old .
