It all started when our father and founder of the winery Benito Vázquez planted the emblematic old vines of Albariño in Finca Carballal. Those first elaborations together with those of other winemakers, were the ones that demonstrated the quality of the Albariños of this area of Galicia and then promoted the constitution of the current DO Rías Baixas.
Our wines are bottled under the Carballal brand, with the same name as the farm where formerly had oaks (Galician horses); and Sete Cepas , in honor of the seven brothers who are involved in the winery.
In the winery, with a contemporary design and surrounded by vineyards , we also receive visits where you can do scheduled wine tourism activities and get to know our wines in situ whose personality lies in the fact that behind Each bottle is the fruit of many hours of sun, the rains and breezes of the Atlantic, the action of the land, ... and the work of people passionate about viticulture and wine .
Carballal farm
Located in the municipality of Ribadumia, at the foot of Monte Castrove . It is a singular vineyard of 3.4 hectares planted with the Albariño variety, of which 2 hectares are old vines and from its production we produce our Rías Baixas Albariño Carballal.
It is a kind of hill that collects the first rays of light, with slopes that facilitate the optimum maturation of the grape, even in difficult vintages since, in times of high Rainfall easily removes excess water.
