Bodegas Ismael Arroyo is a family winery located in the Burgos town of Sotillo de la Ribera, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero D.O. It was founded in 1979, a time when there was no denomination of origin, something that Ishmael, the founder, fought with other people to achieve, finally getting it in the year 1982

The tradition of producing quality wines has passed from generation to generation in Bodegas Ismael Arroyo for over 400 years.

Bodegas Ismael Arroyo has about 25 hectares of vineyards owned, we also buy grapes from the same winemakers of Sotillo de la Ribera who, with their good work, take care of their vineyards to collect a grape of exceptional quality .

These fabulous vineyards that reach an average age of 50, (some are up to 90), are planted only with the Tinta del País grape variety. A variety that is the main reason for the quality of the wines that are made here.
