Although the winemaking tradition dates back to 1670, it was in 1825 when Ramós Suarez and his wife Maria Agullar inherited some vineyards in the Cutar post, located in the Axarquía of Malaga, dedicating themselves to the cultivation of vines, the production of wines and raisin farming.
Generation after generation, they continued to preserve the good work of wine, acquiring, over time, fame among the numerous muleteers who stopped at this house located on the Velez Málaga highway, a place that soon began to be known as the wineries that take away our sorrows.
Today, with the passing of generations, Bodegas Quitapenas has adapted to the new technologies and needs of current markets, a fact that has triggered the expansion to new foreign markets and the transfer at the end of 2004 to the new facilities, located on Carretera de Guadalmar.
With the guided tasting course that we propose, we will subject the wine to our senses, analyzing each sensation it produces through our senses, memory and concentration, trying to learn to be impartial when judging the wine. To your health!!
At Bodegas Quitapenas we invite you to visit our facilities, with more than a century of breeding and producing wines, making our history and our wines known to numerous people who pass through our facilities each year, becoming in a tourist attraction of great interest.
Come and see first-hand a winery where tradition and modernity go hand in hand.
