Description of Bodegas Quitapenas

Although the winemaking tradition dates back to 1670, it is in 1825 when Ramós Suarez and his wife Maria Agullar inherit some vineyards at the Cutar stand, located in the Axarquía Malagueña, dedicated to the cultivation of the vine, winemaking and raisin farming.

Generation after generation, they continued to preserve the good work of wine, acquiring over time, fame among the many muleteers who made a stop in this house located on the road of Velez Malaga, a place that soon began to be known as the wineries that take away our sorrows.

Today, with the passing of the generations, Bodegas Quitapenas has adapted to the new technologies and needs of today's markets, a fact that has triggered the expansion to new foreign markets and the transfer at the end of 2004 to the new facilities, located on Carretera de Guadalmar.

With the course of guided tastings that we propose we will submit the wine to our senses, analyzing each sensation that produces us through our senses, memory and concentration, trying to learn to be impartial when judging the wine. To your health !!

From Bodegas Quitapenas we invite you to know our facilities, with more than a century raising and making wines, making known our history and our wines to numerous people who pass through our facilities every year, becoming in a tourist claim of great interest.

Come and see first hand a winery in which tradition and modernity go hand in hand.
