The La Calgosa Ski and Snowboard School was created in 1996, and since then it has been one of the pioneer schools in Cantabria. It is located at the Alto Campoo station, approximately three-quarters of an hour by car from the city of Santander. They specialize in private and group lessons in both alpine skiing and snowboarding.

La Calgosa Esqui Ski and Snowboard School is a Cantabrian school located in the Alto Campoo station, just 50 minutes by car from the city of Santander. The class offering they have is the following:

- Private classes: with La Calgosa's private classes you can hire a teacher to teach the hours you need, alone or in the company of whoever you want. It is the most flexible option in terms of schedules, and it is perfect if you are not fully available and want to improve and progress quickly.

- Group classes: group classes are taught to groups of all levels and ages, as long as they are over 7 years old. They are perfect for learning in the company of other people with the same hobbies.

- Weekly and individual courses: These courses already have established schedules and are given for groups of between 8 and 10 people. They have a total duration of between 10 and 15 hours.

- Women's Clinic: La Calgosa also offers a ski course aimed especially at women, also taught by women.

Even so, it also has some more complicated tracks for more experienced riders. Specifically, it has 28 skiable kilometers divided into 4 green runs, 9 blue runs and 10 red runs. There is also a snowpark to practice freestyle tricks with the board.
