Aerodromo de la Cerdanya

The Cerdanya Aerodrome is an ideal location to fly through the Cerdanya valley putting ourselves at the height of the highest peaks of the Sierra del Cadí and others from the Pyrenees.

For 40 years this aerodrome, located near Alp and Puigcerdá, has carried out a large number of flights in different aircraft and has trained many pilots in its flight school.

We fly through La Cerdanya in:

• Gliding: Aircraft that glide through the skies from a height of more than 500 meters. We do flight baptisms on two-seater sailboats.

• Airplane: Light aircraft piloting courses, either with the intention of starting out or to train as a pilot.

• Ultralight: Very light devices in which you can also learn to fly at our school.

• Hot air balloon rides: Let yourself be carried through the valley from heights of 1,500 meters to the ground on a day in which you will participate in the entire inflation and deflation process.

At the aerodrome we have gas station, hangarage and restaurant services.

For the courses a minimum age of 16 years is required in addition to having the appropriate physical skills for flight.

We plan through the Pyrenean peaks and valleys of Girona thanks to the non-motorized flights that we offer from Aerodromo de la Cerdanya, with which you can enjoy a high altitude experience like never before.

The flight center from which we depart is located at the Cerdanya aerodrome, near Puigcerdá. Ourlight aircraft are the best vehicle to marvel at the aerial panoramic views of the Sierra de Cadí-Moixeró and other mountain ranges in this part of the Pyrenees.

With our first flight experiences or baptisms we will learn how a two-seater airplane works, another plane takes us up to the heights and from there we launch and glide through the air.

The pilot will be seated in the back so that you, from the front, have the best view of the first-person flight, enjoying unique sensations that you will want to repeat again and again.

The flights we have will range from 15 minutes to 1 hour in duration, so you will only have to choose the route time that best suits what you are looking for and enjoy this unique experience.

To do autonomous flights and become a pilot we have initiation and glider courses that train you and give you the experience and flight hours you need with theoretical and practical classes. Of course, you will need to be 16 years old.

We will love to show you the landscapes of Girona in an original way, how? Flying over them from a hot air balloon. We propose a walk that you will not forget, for which we will meet first thing in the morning.

Once the entire group is at the meeting point (the baskets have a capacity for 6 or 8 people) the pilot will explain what the activity will consist of and you will help him when inflating the balloon. The balloon assembly lasts approximately 30 minutes, enough time for you to be able to ask the pilot any questions you may have about practicing this sport.

When we have finished the preparations we will get going. Only the wind will decide our course, since no two flights are the same. We will reach an approximate height of about 1,500 meters above ground level (almost double above sea level).

We will fly for an hour or an hour and a half, depending on weather conditions. A support all-terrain vehicle will follow us throughout the trip and pick us up at the end. We will toast with a cow, as it is a tradition that should not be avoided, and we will have lunch together at the airfield. We will present you with a diploma so that you have a nice memory of the experience.

Our team has more than 50 years of experience training all types of pilots. For this reason, we suggest that you come and meet us, because our excursions will not leave you indifferent and, in addition, in some of them you can be a pilot for a day and be the one who controls the plane yourself.

We develop initiation courses as well as other private airplane pilot courses with an important theoretical and practical load so that you come out fully prepared.

You will acquire the necessary notions for takeoff, landing, turns and traffic behavior at airports and aerodromes.

The introductory course includes basic learning of everything you need to know about aerodynamics, the use of the plane, the way of communication with the base, meteorology, etc. After giving theoretical classes, we will teach you practice, first with one of our expert pilots and then we will put you to the test so that you can do it alone.

Once you have passed the relevant tests, you can obtain the qualification and fly whenever you want.

You must be over 16 years old to be able to start the course as well as have minimum physical skills.

Theflight school at the Cerdanya aerodrome in the Girona Pyrenees is the place where you can get behind the controls of an ultralight strong> and learn to pilot it with our initiation courses.

The course will provide you with the main knowledge about the behavior of these devices and their handling in several theoretical classes.

Next you can practice in the air with two flight classes of 45 minutes each in the area of Cerdanya and Sierra de Cadí.

The pilot course goes beyond the initiation course and is intended to train expert ultralight pilots. It can be done from the age of 16.

Abundant theory on aerodynamics, aerial legislation, meteorology, aircraft operation, communications, etc.

The flight hours will have a minimum of 12 hours in the Tecnam P2002 Sierra ultralight, a new generation model.
