Tips if you are going to do Camel Riding in Spain

If you want to enjoy a different ride, a trip by camel can five you that exotique touch that no other form of leisure can give. The height of this animals is something that always impress, when you get on and off again, you feel tickling in your stomach. It is curious to notice how it begins by raising the hind legs and then the front ones before you start to get comfortable in the special frame that you carry between your humps. In some cases it is a double chair that falls at your sides so you feel like you reign in the desert.

Unless, you see them in some zoo park and that are the official medium of transportation of the Three Wise Men, we don’t know a lot more about these nice animals. 2. Contemplate very different sights

In Spain, we are lucky to be able to ride this peculiar animal through different geographic points, what leaves in the retinas completely different places in each occasion. The Gran Canaria dunes, the trails of Huesca, the volcanic paths of Tenerife, the esplanades of Valladolid and Valencia are some of them. This will allow you to discover these beaches in constant transformation due the wind, even arid trails that will transport you mentally to the habitat of the camels, always in the company of their charming sway at every step.
3. Cover long distances

The camel, thanks to their physical resistance, is an animal that can walk and cover a lot of kilometers at once. That’s why is not strange to find routes that go from 20 minutes up to a total of 4 hours. The adult’s routes are normally longer than the kid’s, but the medium duration of the routes can be 1 hour. Is the most adequate for anyone that can be a lot of time having fun.
4. Plan a group trip

The routes that are organized in advance by the centers that work with camels maintain them open until filling all the available spaces and each animal can be normally shared with someone. This makes the activity a very fun one to enjoy in pairs or groups. Also, is suitable for all ages. The companies allow the kids from the age of 7 to ride, but is convenient to ask about all the conditions first.
5. Routes with guides and instructors:

During the route, you will be accompanied by a guide that will explain what would you see throughout the journey and the camels will always stay in a connected line by a rope so they do not get out of control. In any case, it's about tame animals that are very used to dealing with people so you will not have any problem to make a cool picture with them. Of course, we advise you first to consult the coaches you will find when starting or finishing the start so that you know what is the right moment and what behavior you must maintain so as not to alter them.
When to enjoy a camel ride?

If you are going for a camel route, it can be done throughout the whole year, but is nicer to have good weather. In the Canary Islands is more common to find warm temperatures during the year but, in the peninsule, we recommend from April to October, avoiding the cold of Winter.
