El Kiriko

The El Kiriko farm offers the best way for your family to enjoy their leisure in nature. We have a wide range of programming for early childhood, primary and secondary education.

We are located in Soutosico, Fornelos de Montes in the province of Pontevedra. It is located in a natural area of large areas of forest at the foot of the Eiras reservoir, on the Oitavén river, in an eminently agricultural place.

The farm occupies eleven hectares and is very well connected to the most important cities in the city. The El Kiriko center has a building that has all the necessary services to accommodate 150 visitors or 110 with accommodation and full board.

We have all the animals you have always wanted to see and care for, such as horses, donkeys, dogs, goats or pigs.

We have school programs, weekend group programs, special programs, we celebrate birthdays and of course we organize summer camps.

Summer camps consist of girls, boys and young people, through coexistence, teamwork, sports and care for the environment, living an experience that they will hardly be able to forget. The main objective of the camp is for them to learn to share, to live together and to respect the rules, all of this arises spontaneously from the activities and multiple games that those who will participate.

The camp will last seven or fourteen days to choose from, with 110 places available, half of which will be for boys and the other half for girls. The instructors are qualified and the teachers are native English speakers. Each monitor will be responsible for 10 children and there will be one coordinator per activity. Security is guaranteed 24 hours a day.

The weather in summer will allow us to enjoy the swimming pool, the river beach, the hiking routes through the water mills and other activities such as horseback riding, canoeing or adventure activities such as archery. zip line or climbing wall. You can also enjoy evenings outdoors, a night in the Indian pits, a multitude of other adventures.

In this edition, you can register in the following modalities:

- Kiriko Aventura: from 5 years old to 16, focused on active sports, in addition to having time to also enjoy the river beach and the pool facilities.

- Kiriko bilingual: native teachers will be in charge of adding 20 hours of English per week in this camp with a minimum age of 8 years. The maximum remains at 16.

- Art Camp: from ages 8 to 14, we will be under the direction of ourteacher with a degree in Fine Arts.

- Chef Kiriko: for those who are beginning to be interested in cooking, in addition to being in the kitchen we will learn important concepts about food.

At El Kiriko we consider it important for young people to keep in touch with the English language during the summer, even more so if they are going to take advantage of their vacation to enroll in a camp. Without ever losing contact with nature activities, we expanded the offering of our programs with a bilingual option for students between 8 and 16 years old.

Our English camp has aspects in common with the rest of the modalities, and others of its own:

- Accommodation, always full board, in facilities that are made up of rooms with capacity for several people sleeping in bunk beds. The 4 meals a day are prepared in our own kitchen capable of adapting to allergies and specific dietary needs.

- Durations: you have great flexibility on our part, since you can sign up for the little ones only for 5 days, extend their stay to 7 days or extend them to a maximum of 2 weeks.

- Team of native teachers and one monitor for every ten participants, to which is added the figure of a coordinator in charge of the activities.

Registration begins on January 15 and can be received until June 15 at the latest as long as there are free places.

We are a school farm, with extensive experience in this type of activities, and an extraordinary location with large natural spaces, and extensive areas of riverside and cavalry forests.
Our center is located at the foot of the Eirás reservoir on the Oitavén river.

We work preparing activities and organizing days for boys and girls between 6 and 14 years old, in which they will enjoy and live new experiences that they will undoubtedly remember with joy.
Your children will be able to interact with other children their age through different activities and situations:

We have native English-speaking teachers, so that your children's learning is faster and more efficient.
In addition, for adventure activities and outside of English class hours, we have a fantastic team of appropriately qualified instructors who love their work. With them, your children will have a great time and enjoy each activity.

Each instructor will be responsible for the care of a group of 10 children, and for each activity there will be a different coordinator.

We have a total of 110 places, of which 55 are for children, and the other 55 for children, to compensate for the number of attendees of each sex.
For the camp to take place, it is necessary that there be a minimum of 25 children to form a group.

There is the possibility of going to the camp for a week (7 days), or 2 weeks (14 days). Choose the option that best suits your needs or preferences and give your children new experiences in a natural, outdoor environment.

We offer a stay on a full board basis, with four meals a day. We prepare our own menu, however we are open to making specific diets if a boy or girl needs it.
Accommodation will be in multiple rooms with bathrooms and bunk beds. All beds are correctly equipped with bedding and the rooms are perfectly equipped with all the comforts.

Summer is the best time of year to go to our camp, since the weather conditions allow us to enjoy a greater number of activities, each one more fun than the last, and ourfacilities:

El Kiriko is undoubtedly the best option when choosing a summer camp, since we combine adventure, nature and sport. - Adventure camp: we will spend the nights in tipis, like the Indians in the movies, and during the day we will have time to try a lot of outdoor sports. We will take canoes, sup boards or ride a horse. In this program we welcome the little ones, from 5 years old to 16.

- English Camp: achieving bilingualism is essential nowadays, and that is why, to our fun activities, we add English through lessons with teachers from English-speaking countries. From 8 to 16 years old.

- Artistic camp: it is true that some children have a special predisposition to drawing or painting. In this option, we work under a licensed specialist in these disciplines, if we are between 8 and 14 years old.

- Special MTB program: being in this environment did not make you think about cycling along the trails. To make it a real option, we organized a new camp especially focused on mountain biking.

- Kiriko chefs: it is increasingly common to find children in the kitchen and, furthermore, it is very good for them to get used to natural foods and learn to appreciate healthy food, something that we will worry about thesecamps.

If your children love the mountains and take advantage of any occasion to go out and enjoy a bike ride, they cannot miss our special MTB camp (mountain bike).

Inspired by the landscapes that surround us, we thought it would be ideal to offer you a new camping model based on mountain biking from now on.

The mountain bike camp that we bring you is a variant of our multi-adventure camp; In this way, children will enjoy a varied and exciting activity program.

The BTT camp is designed for children between 8 and 14 years old interested in this activity, and they must bring their own bike.

This is the program of our MTB camps:

-Different bike routes every day, at different times.

-Mechanics classes to learn some theory.

-Talks about this sport with champions of different modalities.

-Guided routes along trails around the center.

-Closed circuit classes to practice with the bike before taking it to the outside terrain.

In addition, this program will be combined with multi-adventure activities such as canoeing, archery sessions, pool days, soccer games, paddle surf routes, etc.

They will also learn about local wildlife through the animals on the facility's farm.

At night they will relax with themed parties where they will be able to strengthen ties with their classmates, an essential part of the camps.

They will have the help at all times of professional instructors who will be in charge of the training activities. The duration of the camps is one week, from August 7 to 13, and will take place at our facilities in Fornelos de Montes, in Pontevedra.

The program includes full board accommodation with everything you need during your stay.

At Kiriko you have the solution to that incentive day that you are looking for for your company. We are aware that the organizers of these events need quick and comprehensive solutions, which is why from our Fornelo de Montes complex we make a closed proposal for groups between 20 and 100 people.

It will be a day of coexistence in which the following structure is followed:

- 10.30 a.m. Reception of participants: Coffee and cake are offered to the participants while we introduce you to the instructors and divide you into groups for the following activities if necessary.

- Until 12:30 p.m.: we take a 90-minute visit to the areas that make up the school farm. We will release some of the animals and feed the rabbits and some birds. We will talk to you about what life is like on the farm.

- At 12:30: we will take part in a workshop on how food is transformed for an hour which will take us to meal time at 1:30 p.m.
- 2:30 p.m.: We leave you free time to enjoy the areas of El Kiriko but you still have the assistance of the instructors.

- 3:30 p.m.: we continue with group games until we finish the activities at 6 p.m.
