At Kiriketan we have been listening to the needs of boys and girls since 1997 through our work. Thanks to this, today we have specific teaching methods that are based on playful activities.
With this way of relating to children and young people, we prepare camps with which we intend to have a great time while contributing to their socialization. In the same way we immerse them in Basque in a natural way without it being perceived as forced learning. This idea guides our activities:
- Camps with sports: from July 25 to 30 and from August 6 to 11 for participants born between 2012 and 2008, we will be in a coexistence in which we will try water activities, such as canoes and optimst, while staying in wooden cabins.
It is a way for children to live an enriching experience in a healthy environment, interacting with more peers of the same age while having fun and learning values that will serve them in their day to day.
Ask us any questions that may arise in this regard.

At Kiriketan we add to the activities we organize throughout the year to promote Basque among children, camps with activities for which we spend a whole week away from home.
We direct this program to boys and girls whose date of birth is between 2009 and 2012. On the day the camp starts, we will leave by bus from Amara to Zuhatza where we will stay on a full-board basis, housed in comfortable wooden cabins. Children will have access to facilities with all the services to spend these days having covered from cleaning to meals.
We will have two main blocks of activities:
- Water sports: we will be outdoors taking advantage of several hours a day to be in direct contact with the environment through modalities such as canoeing and windsurfing. We will set the right level so that participants feel safe.
- Games and evenings: the rest of the time we will dedicate to sharing playful moments while we learn to interact with each other. During them we will continue to use Basque as the main means of communication.

At Kiriketan we take care of the organization of urban camps that seek to fulfill a double objective. On the one hand, we contribute to broadening the options for parents to take care of their children on vacation, while on the other we help the participants maintain close contact with Basque. We do it through:
- Oporretan Euskaraz open colonies : for students between 4 and 11 years old, as long as they are registered in Donostia. We work on the expression and interpersonal relationship in the autonomous language in various facilities of the city to where we transfer them by bus with the collection points that we provide to get to the camp every day.
- The camps between August and September : which we locate in the San Sebastian neighborhoods from 9.30 a.m. each day, ending the activities at 1.30 p.m. Participants will be picked up for transfer at the Plaza del Buen Pastor. For the activities, groups between 8 and 12 students are formed, respecting this maximum in order to exhaustively monitor each one of them.
