Possibly this century, full of haste and material aspects, is in which the experiences of personal growth have gained more importance. For this reason, at RetiroBurgos , we address these and others of a cultural nature that we not only direct to adults but are also designed for children.

Examples of our activities are:

- Weekend retreats held in different towns throughout the province. We approach them from different points of view, such as conscious listening and interaction through massage, yoga, sound, dance ...

- City walks with no age limit. One of our favorites is based on the cinema, starting with the projection of a film to later delve into specific details that can be seen between the same streets.

- Children's camps: with yoga as the central element, in which we tell tales of prehistory or share workshops. We also organize these activities individually, without having to be part of a camp.

A city always has stories to tell us but at RetiroBurgos we want to show it to you from a cinematographic perspective. It will be the seventh art that guides us through our city and serves as a connecting link for everything that we are going to explain to you.

Alberto San Martín will be the one who will coordinate our visit. Graduated in History, specialized in prehistory, he will contextualize a moment in time that we will have previously viewed in a film or documentary, depending on the occasion. That's right where we start:

- When choosing the film we will have taken into account its historical content, as well as its social, economic and artistic components. They will be the ones we can later move to the city.

- We visit on foot the section of Burgos that is most related to what we have seen. Alberto will guide us throughout the process.

- We put ourselves in between streets and emblematic places, attending to the explanations and representing the role we choose to have an open debate about everything we are learning.

At RetiroBurgos we move away from the general idea of camp to offer something more to our participants. Our children, who must be between 7 and 12 years old , are going to learn about themselves and about the environment. All of this will take place throughout the second half of July , in Portillo de Busto.

- Our goal : that the little ones begin to become aware of who they are and about their being. This profound experience will be approached between playful dynamics, meditation, yoga and workshops in which we remember prehistory, among other teachings. That is why they evolve without realizing it.

- The use of English : essential knowledge that we will use as a vehicle for many of the activities, there are no classes as such, with which the participants develop in the Anglo-Saxon language in a natural way.

- Monitors and teachers : we all have a high specialization in dealing with children and in the application of knowledge of certain subjects, from Clara Martín, psychologist and teacher who has entered yoga, to Dorien Jongsma, a graduate in geography, an expert in workshops in English, among others, to Alberto San Martín, known for his work in Atapuerca, a graduate in history, through Doris Gutiérrez, a qualified instructor, responsible of basketball training and specialist in yoga, meditation and massage.

- Schedule : we will get up at 8.30 in the morning to make the most of the day, we will start games or workshops at 10 am, we eat at 2 pm, We continue with the activities until dinner at 9:00 p.m. and relax or organize evenings before going to sleep at 10:45 p.m.
