Basic Rules Collective Excursions

The collective excursions organized by the Sierra del Pinar Mountaineering Club are always open to the public and suitable for anyone with an acceptable physical shape, desire to walk and a certain spirit of adventure, accepting some discomforts.

Sierra del Pinar Mountaineer Club

The Sierra del Pinar Mountaineering Club operates in Jerez since 1971 as a legally constituted and registered Association with number 107, in addition to being affiliated with the Spanish Federation of Mountain and Climbing Sports and the International Union of Mountaineering Associations.

Its Statutes and Internal Regulations define it as an association of a sports, conservationist, non-profit, apolitical nature, but with a totally democratic functioning and structure, dedicated to the promotion and realization of all those activities that, within a broad concept of mountaineering, can develop in the mountains.

In this sense, the Club periodically carries out trekking, rock climbing, high mountain and expeditions, mountain biking, mountain skiing, canyoning, and even other occasional canoeing, rafting, bungee jumping, caving, paragliding. ..

The Club is organized through a Board of Directors democratically elected by the Members' Assembly every two years. However, the Assembly meets with ordinary character once a year, and extraordinarily when the partners demand it in sufficient number.

The services that the club offers to all its members are, among others:

• Social venue for meetings (normally Thursday and Friday, from 8:30 p.m.).
• Specialized library with books and magazines.
• Material for initiation to climbing and high mountains.
• Material for audiovisual projections on slides, T.V. and Video.
• Processing of the federative card F.A.M. and General Sports Mutual Insurance.
• Participation in official activities with advantageous conditions.
• Introductory courses by qualified professors of the E.A.M ..
• Advantageous access conditions to protected mountain areas.
• The conditions or requirements to be a member of the Club are:
• Be of legal age or minor with parental authorization.
• Go to the social premises and fill in the registration form.
• Fill in bank authorization for the payment of installments, (except necessary cases of payment in cash).
