Descent Barranco de Osor and Photographic Report

There are many places, and more in Spain, where you can practice canyoning, but, surely, few are as spectacular and as simple, at the same time, as the Barranco de Osor, which is located just over 20 minutes by car from Girona and 1 hour and a half from Barcelona .

The Riera de Osor is located in the heart of the Sierra de las Guilleries , particularly in the La Selva region, and has the particularity of that it is the tributary with the largest flow in the entire area, which is why it is tremendously enjoyable in spring or after the rains. It is perfect to start in the world of canyoning.

For this reason, it is a ravine that we recommend sharing with your family, friends or company colleagues. In short, this activity is suitable for all audiences, without major limitations beyond age, established from 8 years old.

Osor is defined as being quite fun, it has all the elements that make a ravine great, that is, it has natural slides, > jumps into pools, 7 rappels of different heights and some downclimbing. In addition, it is a aquatic ravine, with a route full of wild vegetation, which gives it that colorful, aesthetic touch.

Normally, depending on the pace of the group and the conditions of the ravine, it takes around 3 hours to complete, with a fairly easy approach and an equally comfortable return. Although we give you wetsuit and we give you all the safety guidelines to make the journey with absolute peace of mind, for the day of the activity you must do us a favor.

Please bring several things on your own, of enormous help for the normal development of the activity: it is mandatory to wear sports shoes or mountain shoes (type boots), >clothes to change into, swimsuit or tights that can get wet, towel and, depending on the weather we are in, sun cream.
