Description of Canyoning Peonera Inferior Level II Huesca
Would you like to start canyoning?
We suggest you practice canyoning in the Sierra de Guara, in the province of Huesca, one of the most popular areas in Spain with more than 300 routes . The aquatic ravines are carried out between the months of March and October, with the summer months being the most favorable for it.
You will be able to choose between the following ravines: Peonera inferior, Oscuros de Balces and Barrasil, all of level II, suitable for anyone without having previous experience.
The good thing about all this is that, even if you cannot do any of them because the conditions for practicing them are adverse, you can always choose another of the rest, just as fun, with an identical challenge.
All of them can be done from 7 years of age because, as we have already indicated previously, they do not require a very great technical or physical effort.
While the Inferior Peonera stands out for being the most fun of the entire mountain range, crowned by an impressive jump from the Bierge Dam; the Oscuros de Balces one alternates impressive galleries with beautiful rappels; and Barrasil offers a very aquatic and pleasant section.
All of them will have the Rodellar parking lot as a meeting point where we will wait for you to start a day of canyoning in Huesca that will not leave you indifferent. The activity consists of any of the 3 ravines of a previous walk necessary to access the ravines.
What are you going to find in each of them?
To get to the Barranco de Peonera Inferior we will walk for about 50 minutes, the path is so spectacular that even if you are lucky you will be able to see vultures or bearded vultures. We arrive at the entrance point to the ravine, this Peonera Inferior ravine is characterized by being very aquatic. In the middle of the route we will reach the well-known Puntillo Straits, a concatenation of jumps that couldn't be more fun. Of course, all with an escape, that is, an alternative path in case at some point you don't feel like jumping.
The Oscuros de Balces ravine begins, after the approach walk, with a 7 meter rappel that will deposit us at the bottom of the ravine. The cleft in the rock of this canyon is so large that sunlight is scarce along part of the route, hence its name. The originality of this tour will leave you breathless.
Finally,The Barrasil ravine is a little more challenging, since the approach walk is longer. Of course, what awaits you is absolutely relaxing, the most beautiful natural pools in the Guara mountain range. To highlight the bath that you will take inLa Olleta.
Furthermore, in all of them, the help of the monitors will allow us to complete the tour without problems and have a fun and exciting time in the company of your friends or family. For everyone, without exception, you will have to come with spare clothes, swimsuit, sports shoes and towel. We take care of the protective helmet, the neoprene suit and the mandatory material to undertake the descent.
