Initiation caving in Sima Simarro and photos

Would like to discover the fascinating world that the subterranean caves hide? Come to our caving route in Alicante. This is the Sima Simarro, in the Carrascal de la Fuente Roja Natural Park, inside Alcoy and Ibi. 

This speleology session is a medium-level since it has some technical parts. 

The cave is under the Menejador mountain and is because of the rains that fall and have had filtrated for 100 years, giving form to all the rocks we found in its inside. 

In the approximation, that will take us 60 minutes, we will pass through two artificial snowcaps, the Sirvent, and Simarro ponds. 

To transit through the insides of the cave, we will use different speleology techniques: from dragging until overhanging, passing through some technical with rope to descend through the abyss.

In our route in the mountain´s interiors, we will have the opportunity to see in first hand the elements that form the caves and what the natures have created for centuries. like the spectacular columns, stalagmites, and stalactites or banderoles. Without forgetting, of course, the famous and eccentric stalactites.
