Double dive with Cabo de Gata equipment

Next to Carboneras, around 400 meters from the coast, is the famous island of San Andrés. That island is a group of islets that have a volcanic origin. In these waters, there is no current so it makes it perfect to dive between 5 and 32 meters.

Depending on the level of the diver we will leave from the coast by boat, to make two dives to choose. Depending on the depth, we can find from nacras and octopuses in shallow waters, such as Pared de la Isla to anemones and congeries to 22 meters deep in Gorgonias.

The dives will take about 55 minutes, then we will go up, and change the bottle to submerge again. That is why the approximate duration of the activity is about 4 hours in which you will have all the necessary equipment, the trip to the dive site and a guide that will show you the true wonders of Carboneras.

The available dives are:

• Canyons: 11 meters deep, ideal for beginners. It has passageways and caves.
• Aquarium: maximum depth of 14 meters with many passages, lots of fish and crevices with corvinas.
• Wall of the island: it has a depth of between 10 and 25 meters, full of recesses to discover, passages in which to get lost and large cracks. It is ideal for night dives.
• Corvinas: it has an interval of 14 to 18 meters. Ideal for diving in an esplanade with rock formations between 2 and 5 m above the bottom. We can also explore cracks in which we will find banks of croakers.
• El Ala: this dive is one of the most beautiful of all since between May and September we can find moonfish, barracudas, and dentex. Depth between 14 and 23 m.
• Crater: 5 meters under the sea, we will find the top of the crater and we can descend to 19 meters observing its walls covered by the so-called gold buttons that are colonized by invertebrates.
• Motor: its depth varies between 27 and 31 meters. We can find moray eels, conger eels, and gorgonians.
• Gorgonians: between 22 and 32 m.
